Job Description
Our company is seeking a Shipping Center Manager. The role will require management efforts to ensure on-time execution, fleet maintenance and communications with driving team and other departments as needed.
- Lead a team of drivers through any challenges that occur on shift.
- Manage all aspects of the fleet, including driver, fleet and compliance management.
- Liaison with operations team to ensure fleet meets operations KPIs
- Maintains strict compliance with DOT and FMCSA rules and regulations
- Verify and maintain HOS and DVIR program for the fleet.
- Communicates with management on service or performance issues.
- Responsible for timecards, vacation approvals, and conducting performance reviews.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience in transportation management.
- Excellent verbal, written, and auditory communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to plan and organize workload; flexibility to handle pressure and work with interruptions and meet deadlines
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with others.
- Ability to remain professional and courteous in challenging situations.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
- Aptitude to be available and adjust working hours according to demands.
