Job Description

Summary: The Process Improvement Supervisor is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and leading process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and drive operational excellence. This role partners with cross-functional teams to document workflows, monitor performance metrics, and implement solutions aligned with strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze existing operational processes and workflows across departments (e.g., warehouse, logistics, production)
  • Drive and support change management efforts to ensure smooth adoptions of process improvements
  • Develop and maintain process documentation (e.g., SOPs, flowcharts, value stream maps)
  • Monitor performance metrics (KPIs) and identify trends, inefficiencies, or improvement opportunities
  • Monitor potential reductions in waste or cycle time
  • Work closely with frontline teams and supervisors to ensure process changes are sustainable and understood
  • Identify and replicate best practices across other sites and/or departments to maximize organizational impact
  • Prepare and deliver improvement reports and progress updates to leadership
  • Track and report cost savings or productivity improvements linked to implemented changes
  • Facilitate training and coaching on continuous improvement tools and practices
  • Support compliance and safety initiatives as related to process improvements
  • Lead or support Kaizen events, root cause analysis, and Lean Six Sigma projects
  • Collaborate with IT, HR, and other support functions to streamline systems or communication gaps

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in operations, process improvement, or related role
  • Experience in a warehouse, or distribution environment strongly preferred
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and facilitation abilities
  • Strong organizational and communication skills – attention to details.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have excellent people management and time management skills and abilities
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) – Experience with Power BI preferred 
  • Familiarity with ERP, WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), scanning equipment, and shipping software.
  • Forklift certification (or ability to become certified).
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required (if relevant to your workforce/location)

 

Preferred Certifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma – Yellow or Green Belt
  • Project Management Certification (PMP or CAPM) a plus

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The expectation is that work is to be completed at a KSI location unless specific circumstances require remote work.
