The Returns Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the returns department, ensuring the accurate processing, inspection, and disposition of returned products. This role ensures efficiency, compliance with company policies, and provides direction and support to the returns team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise all returns processing activities, including receiving, inspecting, restocking, refurbishing, or disposing of returned merchandise.
Ensure returned items are processed accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with company policies and quality standards.
Promote and ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and shipping standards.
Monitor inventory adjustments and coordinate with Inventory Control to maintain data accuracy.
Collaborate with Customer Service, Quality Control, and Inventory teams to resolve return-related issues.
Train and coach team members on return procedures, safety practices, and system usage.
Maintain detailed records of returns, reasons for return, and product disposition for reporting and root cause analysis.
Recommend improvements to streamline returns processes and reduce return rates.
Ensure the returns area is organized, safe, and compliant with OSHA and company regulations.
Use WMS or ERP systems to manage return transactions and generate relevant reports.
Complete reports to management on key findings and assessment
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
2–3 years of warehouse experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.
Knowledge of returns processing, inventory control, and reverse logistics preferred.
Proficient in WMS, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
Self-motivated with desire for continuous improvement.
Demonstrated teamwork skills across entire organization.
Must have excellent people management and time management skills and abilities
Include shift schedule 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday, rotational Saturdays
